The Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves Launches Its Annual Results Reporting Survey for 2012!
This survey will be used to measure global progress towards the adoption of cleaner, more efficient cooking technologies and fuels. All partners are strongly encouraged to submit data on their program’s activities between January 1, 2012-December 31, 2012.
There's so much going on in the cookstoves sector these days, it's sometimes hard to keep up! Here are some of our favorite media highlights from the past few weeks. If we missed your favorite highlight, let us know in the comments below and we will add it!
Partner Spotlight – GERES Cambodia
This month, I’m taking a different approach to our partner spotlight by writing about one of our partners. That’s because I recently had the opportunity to visit a few of GERES Cambodia’s production facilities outside of Phnom Penh during my trip last month in advance of the Clean Cooking Forum 2013.
International Women's Day
As this year’s International Women’s Day approaches, we are thinking of the staggering 4 million people, mostly women and children, around the world who die annually from exposure to smoke from inefficient and dirty cooking practices. If we are to address this issue once and for all, women have to be at the center of the solutions that encourage adoption of cleaner stoves and fuels.
With the Clean Cooking Forum 2013 at capacity with less than three weeks to go, the Alliance looks forward to welcoming over 500 individuals from the clean cookstoves, fuels, and related sectors to Phnom Penh on March 18th.
